Please note that each year on 29 August Lagos celebrates the traditional 'Festa do Banho', which includes historical recreations, food and drinks, traditional swimwear parades and lots of musical entertainment.
This is a great way to experience the local culture.
The location for this event is usually on the beach directly opposite the block where this apartment is situated - which means that you will have a great view of the party and will be able to experience the wonderful atmosphere - but keep in mind that there will be loud music from the party.
The 'Festa do Banho' takes place on 1 night only (29 August).
However, other events may take place before that date.
Please take this into consideration if you are intending to stay in this apartment at the end of August.

Fabulous Apartment in the Heart of Lagos

We enjoyed a three month stay in the Beachside Modern apartment during the winter. This was our second, long-term stay in Lagos and thanks to the central location of the apartment, the views and the amenities within, it was a wonderfully, memorable see more
We enjoyed a three month stay in the Beachside Modern apartment during the winter. This was our second, long-term stay in Lagos and thanks to the central location of the apartment, the views and the amenities within, it was a wonderfully, memorable stay. With regards to the apartment itself, it is as the pictures and description indicate - very clean, bright, and the views out to the ocean are amazing. The kitchen was well equipped for a long-term stay, lots of storage, open plan with a wonderful ocean view. This unit has two bathrooms and two bedrooms, the latter of which had very comfortable beds and sliding doors that went out to a small balcony overlooking the water. While there is a relatively busy street between the apartment and the beach, the sound is almost non-existent with the windows closed. With them open, there is traffic noise during the day, but at night it's pretty minimal so it didn't disturb our sleep. The balcony outside the livingroom was a treat and was great to chill on when the weather got a bit warmer. Lastly, it was a real pleasure working with Destination Algarve throughout our stay. The team were happily ready to answer any of our queries, provided great local recommendations and overall, ensured that our visit was as enjoyable as possible.

The apartment is great with an amazing view over the saling habour and the beach. So close to the cosy Batata beach and to the town so the location is super great. The only back draw is the noise from heavy trafic when sitting on the balcony.

We had a very nasty smell from the main bathroom that came and went during our two weeks. Perhaps there is something that could be fixed easily for next time.
